Trees for the Future and two new Stretch Goals!

Hey everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. We just unlocked our 18th Stretch Goal. Thank you very much!  

Trees for the Future  

Over the last 40 years entire Countries have been stripped of their primary natural resource: trees. Most of the deforestation around the world has occurred to make room for agriculture, yet in the coming decade there will be two billion undernourished people. There is a constant pressure to trade more forest in exchange for food.  

We believe in the power of the trees.  

Planting trees provides families with more than just food. It provides income, empowerment, unity, leadership, education and it even saves lives. When we can teach people to value themselves and their environment, they see amazing improvements in their standard of living.  

Gonzalo Aguirre Bisi, president of ThunderGryph Games states: “We truly believe Nature is the most breathtaking manifestation of art and we want 2018 to be a year to celebrate this wild and incredible thing. Working with wood is one of the most satisfying experiences of creating a game and by planting a tree per game sold, we will ensure to give back to Nature more than what we take to shape our dreams”  

With an initial donation of 10’000 trees, ThunderGryph is partnering with Trees for the Future to plant one tree per game sold in 2018. All tree planting work will be conducted by Trees for the Future.  

ThunderGryph is not seeking funding on Kickstarter to donate to a charity or a cause.

This is our last set of Wishes cards with new different types of majorities: favor token, double Spirit symbol tiles and gems (player stones).  

Additional pages for the Score pad  

We will increase the size of our Score pad to 60 pages to track more of your matches! This week we are releasing something interesting for the backers that prefer counting points on dry erase boards.

Spirits of the Forest Tournament!

We are mad in love with the game and we want to share the experience with you during the campaign.   

We wanted to organize the tournament today, but considering the interest we need to organize the matches before hand.  

We are planning the Spirits of the Forest tournament on January 19th at 16:00 EDT – 22:00 GMT.  

The winner will get a Life Bundle, while second and third place a Deluxe Edition. It is free to join and you can follow this instructions to sign up!  

1) Fill in this google form with your full name and email address.  3

2) Someone from the team will reach out to confirm your subscription. 

3) You will receive your room name and details one day before the match. 

4) On the tournament day be sure to: - Have a microphone - Have a headset - Have access to Tabletopia (either from browser or downloading it on steam) 

5) At 16:00 EDT - 22:00 GMT join our Discord server in the room name assigned in your email. 

If you want to try the game today, Gon and Martyn will be hanging out in our Discord channel right now. We can teach and play. Winners will get add-ons and upgrades as rewards!

Hello everyone! Two more Stretch goals unlocked, the pace has been incredible, you're awesome! 

Additional Hexes Cards - Special Stretch Goal 

Its come to our attention that Ren kindly added Spirits of the Forest to the "20 Most Anticipated Games of 2018" on BGG, so exciting! 

To get into the voting phase, we would need to reach around 500 thumbs by tomorrow, I feel we can do it together! As a token of appreciation we will unlock a set of Hex Cards if we meet our goal of 500 thumbs. We can't thank you enough for your support! 

 

Martyn Poole, our head of PR, is one of the designers of Robin Hood from Final Frontier Games. We really feel like family with them and if you love Euro Games and the Robin Hood theme be sure to help them by giving a thumb up!

We worked together to make the Meeples for the game. It was an incredible experience we would love to share with our industry friends too someday!

New Illustrations for Wishes and Hex Cards 

We want the game to be consistent with the thematic and adding new illustrations on the back of the cards will change the experience and table presence completely! Nat will make sure to have the final illustrations as soon as we unlock the Stretch Goal! 

Additional Seasons Leaves 

We will unlock four new wooden leaves with different numbers to add more replay-ability.

12 Stretch Goals Unlocked. New Seasons expansion and Hexes cards are next!

Hello everyone! Our 3rd day just started and it is incredible that we unlocked 12 Stetch Goals already. I know we have done it so many times, but we can't thank you enough for your support and the positive feedback on our comment section!   

Table Cloth Add-On  

Many backers have been asking about our Add-ons sizes and photos. We will keep you updated during the campaign, starting with our Table Cloth.  

A play mat was not an option since the tiles were taking table space already. We decided to use a cloth to cover most part of the table.  

This full color table cloth is 700x370 and can be purchased by adding €10 to your pledge or by backing our Life Bundle that includes it.  

Hexes Cards Expansion 

This will accompany the Wishes expansion. 

During setup players will be able to chose from one wish out of two and will receive a Hex card. Here is an example of how these work.

Seasons Expansion 

For both game balance and theme, we will change the shape and color of our leaves to reflect different seasons. Each of your current unlocked leaves will have a new custom illustration and a new wooden shape. 

By doing that we will be able to play more with numbers to accommodate the game to the different number of players. 

Shuffle the different leaves and pick one of each type per row. Spring going first, then summer on the second row and so forth. Then reveal the numbers. Same rules as the leaves expansion apply.  We will post the final mini rulebook during the campaign.

Score pad for Spirits of the Forest!

Hello everyone, two more Stretch Goals have been unlocked, the pace is incredible, thank you!  

Stones Improvement

There is not much to say. Bigger stones are just better! We decided to separate the stones in different molds to increase the size from 28 to 35mm. It will add more weight and a better feeling while holding them. With this Stretch Goal we are upgrading all of the six stones available.

Spirits of the Forest Score Pad

With this stretch goal we are unlocking a 30 page full color score pad and a pencil.

After the centennial game is over, counting points will be a pleasure!
